Within Jingold there are many of us, with different stories and skills.
But we share a business idea that values sustainable food:

We believe in an agriculture capable of feeding people without impoverishing the planet.

At Jingold, we care about sustainability in all its forms, not just communication or 'greenwashing', but an organic set of measures that we have been implementing for years to make our contribution to the environment and society.
Jingold's activities are organised to minimise pollution at every stage of the supply chain.

In agriculture, climate change is an incredibly topical and tangible issue, not just an effect to be put off as long as possible.

What do we do, concretely, to avoid this?

We use low-impact techniques, specifically:

  • Integrated crop protection, with a strong reduction in the use of pesticides.
  • This system involves the use of non-toxic pesticides, biological control (i.e. the use of predatory insects to eliminate pests), and crop rotation. The procedures strictly follow the integrated production specifications established by the regional phytosanitary services.
  • Use of modern drip irrigation systems. With this method, water is delivered slowly to the plants, either on the ground or directly to the root, thus achieving high efficiency and low waste.
  • Use of renewable energies, mainly photovoltaics, for fruit refrigeration and other electrical consumption: the factories that package Jingold products have built photovoltaic systems that produce more than 700,000 KW/h per year, which corresponds to a saving in CO2 emissions of about 300 tonnes/year (the equivalent of the weight of 15 kiwi trucks!).

In Jingold We believe that sustainability is not only about the environment, but that it is a concept to be extended to all areas of the company and especially to those who make it up. Indeed, Jingold adheres to Sedexthe international network of companies for the control of safety at work: the body verifies and certifies not only the quality of the working environment, but also the respect of trade union rights, labour regulations, the absence of exploitation and underage workers. Jingold supports the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) which recognises international trade as an essential vehicle for people's prosperity and social economic growth. To honour the concrete commitment to legality, safety, healthy products, transparency, sustainability and respect for people, Jingold adopted a code of ethics that contains all the fundamental principles and guidelines that should guide behaviour.
